TFX: The Flowlicious Experience
The Flowlicious Experience (TFX) is a creative and collaborative event designed to foster creative community engagement through creative play. Created by acclaimed poet and IOS Advisory Board member Adwin David Brown, TFX is an immersive atmosphere where participants explore their creativity, connect with local talents, and build meaningful community connections. As part of the Inglewood Open Studios (IOS) initiative, TFX will transform the quad outside the Inglewood Public Library into a hub of artistic energy with DJ Joyfanatic, spoken word, instrument making with Flowskool, and a drum circle sponsored by Inglewood's Motherland Music.
Inglewood Public Library - 101 W. Manchester Blvd. - Saturday

Concourse Pop-up Exhibitions

Plant, Animal, Human, Concrete, Word
Attic Portrait, an Inglewood based artist duo, presents “Plant, Animal, Human, Concrete, Word”, a 5-part city-wide multimedia installation. The journey begins at the artist duo’s studio, 313 East Beach Avenue, with a map that leads to multiple locations across the IOS tour. You can also access the map here: https://atticportrait.com/attic-portrait-ios-map
Rooted in the principles of animism, which hold that objects, places, and creatures all possess a distinct spiritual essence, “Plant, Animal, Human, Concrete, Word” explores humanity's interconnected relationship with nature and the inanimate, envisioning a world where hierarchies between all species and all elements are dissolved.
Through this work, the artists mirror the transformative paths we take in life, evoking revelations of our intrinsic place within a larger web of existence—a world of shared sentience where life forms and natural elements communicate in harmonious balance. Starting right here in Inglewood, right now with this vibrant creative community, and emanating outward as far as the ends of the universe, connecting the present place and the personal body in relationship to the expanses far beyond us in time, material, and location. Attic Portrait invites guests into this practice of shifting perspectives toward an active pursuit of communal connection with our neighbors, our city, and all beings, all things - for healing and grounding and positive change.
