Lucy Blake-Elahi

I have been a painter, ceramist and public artist for most of my life. I am now returning to my studio after a hiatus of three years of caregiving my husband with Alzheimers. He is now in a Memory Care Facility.

Thanks to that, I recently completed a body of paintings about that experience and am looking forward to continued development of a new series about my “Neighborhood”.

My recent works in Acrylic on canvas and mixed media collages have been selected for several exhibitions this year and are heading toward several other shows.

Earlier paintings and drawings have been exhibited nationally and my public art projects are in Inglewood, Culver City, and Los Angeles. I have been teaching Art Appreciation at West Los Angeles College since 2000.

In summary- I would enjoy meeting you at Inglewood Open Studios and continuing to develop our sense of Neighborhood!
